Kid Friendly Full Of Nutrition Avocado Pesto Sauce

This raw pesto recipe is ready in less than 5 minutes!  Yes, all it takes is a blender and your favorite choice of pasta. Make it with quinoa, whole wheat, or even zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash. At home, this is one of our favorite meals.

If you are concerned about your kids not eating enough vegetables, this recipe will make you feel better. The main ingredients are nutritious veggies…. LOTS of them. The best part? You kids will love it!

Did you know that eating raw vegetables is the best way to get all the nutrients?  When you steam, boil or bake vegetables, some of the nutrients are lost. Cooking destroys not only nutrients but also enzymes in the food that are needed to digest those nutrients fully.  This is the reason why uncooked foods play such an important roll in your family’s good health.

Ingredients
  • 1 ripe hass avocado
  • 1 bag fresh baby spinach (about 4-6 cups)
  • 10-12 fresh basil leaves
  • ¼ cup walnuts (optional)
  • ¼ cup of milk *about
  • Olive oil
  • Sea salt
Instructions
  1. Put ½ bag spinach, basil, avocado and walnuts in the blender first.
  2. Start adding the milk little by little until everything is well blended to a creamy sauce texture. Add a little olive oil too. You need to add the milk little by little to achieve the right consistency. All you really need is a few tablespoons of olive oil and a little bit of milk. As you make the sauce, add the rest of the spinach.
  3. Season with sea salt according to taste.
