I was in the mood for a treat and decided to try a new recipe. Something sweet, moist and delicious. I recently received super fun molds from Freshware and thought of using the cute Bear Muffin Baking Cups. My son loved them! These Whole Wheat Double Chocolate Muffins were the answer to my sweet cravings.
Seriously, you need to try this recipe. I looked at my Homemade Mini Brownies recipe and modified a few ingredients. I wanted these muffins really moist so I added sour cream. The muffins came out perfect! I am actually having a muffin as I write this post. I can’t believe how moist and wonderful this muffin tastes.
The smell coming out of the oven made me crave them even more. If you are in the mood for chocolate, I mean a lot of chocolate rich flavor, then this is the recipe for you. Look at the teddy bear muffins coming right out of the oven……
The great thing about using silicone molds is they pop right out without having to oil them first. You just need to wait 10-15 minutes for the muffins to cool down first.
Silicone molds are also dishwasher safe so they are super convenient. I was able to make the muffins in 30 minutes. Baking from scratch is not that difficult. You can try different shapes and make it fun for kids too. Baking is always easy and fun.
